Hawaii Storytellers: Where I Live – West Oahu
Friday, May 27 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm HST
Since last year, Civil Beat started taking a new approach to covering West Oahu, one that involved deeper engagement with residents and others who live and work on the Westside. Now we celebrate the people we have met along the way with a special place-based Hawaii Storytellers, hosted by reporter Kuʻu Kauanoe.
This free in-person event will be held at Kalanihookaha Community Learning Center in Nanakuli. If you’re unable to attend in-person but don’t want to miss out, register to receive the post-event email that will contain recordings of the storytellers.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for interactive activities such as art with 808 Urban, food available for purchase from Kahumana Organic Farm and Cafe and more. The storytelling program will begin at 7 p.m.
